A New York man dealing drugs on Long Island had enough fentanyl to kill more than 500,000 people before he was arrested, authorities said Wednesday, Sept. 9.
Jemmal Bryan, 42, operated out of his home in Jamaica, Queens, and dealt fentanyl, xylazine, and cocaine across Nassau County, the county district attorney’s office said.
“He was arrogant, shameless, and did not care if people lived or died,” District Attorney Anne Donnelly said. “Drug dealers will always be willing to put profit above all else.”

An elected official in Dutchess County is facing a felony charge for allegedly repeatedly striking a 69-year-old person in the head, prosecutors said.
City of Poughkeepsie Common Councilmember Christopher A. Grant, 38, was arraigned on a charge of attempted second-degree assault, the Dutchess County District Attorney's Office announced on Wednesday, Sept. 9.
The charge stems from an alleged assault in the City of Poughkeepsie on the afternoon of Aug. 2, 2025, when Grant was 37 years old.
